February is a “love it” or “hate it” type of month. Sometimes it feels like Valentine’s Day is all about being in love with someone, or being in a relationship. What if that “someone” was you? Having a relationship with yourself isn’t as advertised but it is just as important, if not more. Love starts with you, when we feel the love within ourselves we then radiate it outwards. Others can then feel our positive energy and we receive it in return. So how do we start loving ourselves?
We can start off by:
•Countering every criticism with a compliment
•Being patient & kind
•Doing (at least) one thing a day that makes YOU happy
•Letting yourself indulge
•Release judgment and any concepts you/society has on “perfection”
And remember that you are complete and loved just as you are! So buy that thing that has been on the back of your mind, open that box of chocolates or bottle of wine (or both) and celebrate! Because you know you deserve it!
