How to clear energy you absorb from others

I had a virtual session with a client today, and an important topic came up.

She works in a male dominated environment and often feels heavy, tired, and drained after work. She shared that she absorbs a lot of energy from the people around her and asked a very common question. How do I know if the energy I am feeling is mine, and how do I clear it?

Many sensitive and intuitive people absorb energy without realizing it. This is especially common when you work in environments that are fast paced, stressful, or emotionally intense.

One simple way to clear energy is when you get home.

Taking a shower can help release what you have picked up during the day. As the water flows, gently say to yourself, please clear any energies that are not mine and release anything I have absorbed today. If you have Epsom salt, you can gently scrub your body to support this release.

Another helpful practice is grounding. Going for a walk, spending time outside, or simply slowing down your body can help bring your energy back to yourself.

What you do before sleep is also very important.

Before going to bed, take a few minutes to write down your thoughts. Write out anything you are worried about, any stress, or anything that feels heavy. Getting these thoughts out of your mind helps your body prepare for rest.

Sleep is a time of healing. You want to go to sleep with light energy, not with fear, anxiety, or emotional weight. When you sleep while feeling stressed or drained, that energy can carry into your rest and affect how you feel when you wake up.

When your mind is clear and your energy feels lighter, your body can truly rest. This allows higher guidance, clarity, and healing to support you while you sleep. When you wake up, you are more likely to feel calm, refreshed, and grounded.
