Are your goals truly yours?
One question I often ask my clients is this
Why are you setting goals for the new year?
Many people set goals because it feels like the normal thing to do. A new year comes, and we tell ourselves it is a fresh start. We make a list of things we think we should want. We say, this is what I want, and these are my goals.
But have you ever stopped to ask yourself why?
Are you setting these goals because everyone else is doing the same?
Because society says this is the time to start over?
Or because someone else is telling you what success should look like?
This is where clarity becomes important.
When you slow down and ask deeper questions, you start to notice the difference between goals that come from pressure and goals that come from truth. Ask yourself if the goal really feels right for you. Does it match what you are feeling inside? Does it align with your intuition, or is it coming from your mind or another voice you have learned to listen to?
Getting clear on this helps you set yourself up to win.
Aligned goals support you as a whole person. They feel right not just mentally, but also physically, emotionally, spiritually, energetically, and financially. When a goal is aligned, it does not drain you. It supports you.
Before committing to any goal, pause and ask yourself
Why am I setting this goal?
Does this truly serve me?
Am I setting myself up to win?
When your goals come from alignment instead of pressure, they become easier to follow through with and more meaningful to achieve.
If you feel unsure about your goals or want support creating goals that truly align with who you are, I am here to help.
With love,
Christine
