The shift that changes everything: stop chasing and start receiving

Many of us spend so much time chasing what we want. A better job, more money, the right relationship, a dream life. We keep pushing, worrying, and asking ourselves why it is not happening yet.

But the truth is, the problem is not that you are not doing enough. The problem is often the energy behind what you are doing.

Chasing is not about taking action. Chasing is the feeling of fear, doubt, and pressure behind your actions. It sounds like “I’m not getting enough money” or “Why can’t I find the right person?” Even if you are doing all the right things, when you carry worry and anxiety, you are still chasing. And that energy can close doors.

Receiving is different. Receiving is about trust. It is about doing the work without attaching fear to the outcome. You still show up. You still try. You still take action. But instead of forcing things or overthinking, you remind yourself, “I am doing my best, and I trust.”

For example, if you are looking for a job, you update your resume, apply, and reach out. You do everything you can. But instead of stressing after every step, you let it go. You stop overthinking. You stop doubting. You trust that what is meant for you will come.

When you are in a state of fear or doubt, you close yourself off. You are not open to opportunities or possibilities. But when you trust, you stay open. And being open is what allows things to come to you.

Start noticing your thoughts. When you feel worry or doubt, pause and take a breath. Remind yourself that you are doing your best and that you can trust what is coming. You do not need to force anything. You just need to stay open.
