What is your self-care or self-healing routine?
Today, I want to share something that many of my clients ask me about: “What is your self-care or self-healing routine?”
As someone who holds space for 6 to 8 clients a day each carrying unique energies, stories, and emotions, it’s absolutely essential for me to ground myself, release anything that isn’t mine, and restore my own energy field.
I’ve learned over time that self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a daily necessity. Just like brushing our teeth or showering, we need energetic and emotional hygiene to stay aligned and well.
Here are a few grounding practices that support me deeply:
🌊 Water Is My Medicine
The pool is my sanctuary. I make it a priority to swim 3–4 times a week. The water calms me, grounds me, and helps wash away excess energy that may have built up during the day. I also spend time in the sauna and steam room, they’re powerful for clearing anything that doesn’t serve me.
I’m grateful to live near a river, so I try to visit it a couple of times a week too. Just sitting near flowing water reminds me to surrender, reset, and return to my natural rhythm.
🌬️ Breathwork & Stillness
When time is tight, even a 5–10 minute walk or a simple breathing technique can work wonders. One of my go-to breathing patterns is:
Inhale for 4 counts
Hold for 4 counts
Exhale for 4 counts
There are also guided meditations, sound therapy sessions, and short visualization exercises that help bring me back into alignment especially when my nervous system feels overstimulated.
🥗 Healing Through Food
One thing I’ve become very aware of lately is how food impacts my energy. As my frequency continues to rise, I’ve noticed that certain foods, those that cause bloating, inflammation, or skin reactions pull me out of alignment.
Now, I follow a clean, nourishing diet that supports my higher vibration so I can show up fully for my clients and myself. Healing my relationship with food has been a big part of my journey and I continue to listen to what my body needs each day.
🌿 The Key: Finding What Works for You
Your self-healing routine doesn’t have to look like mine. Maybe for you, it’s:
Journaling
Reading something uplifting
Taking a mindful bath once a week
Practicing stillness before bed
Whatever it is, it should feel supportive, not like a chore. Think of it as emotional hygiene, something you do with love and consistency, not just when you're feeling off balance.
These are just small glimpses into my routine. I’ll be sharing more tools and deeper guidance on my website soon. Remember, your self-care is sacred. Start where you are, and trust what feels good in your body and soul.
With love,
Christine
